Learning from the Mountains
Well, I come home tomorrow. I have had a blast in the Smokey mountains and I will be glad to get back in the groove this week. (Wow, it’s great to have a job that you love to come home too.) I spent hours & hours on this porch reading, praying, and thinking. I wanted to share a few things that God has gently reminded me of this week.
– I need to shut up more. Specifically … The people around me don’t need to know how critical I am about small things.
– I need to cherish my wife more.
– It’s not the big things that make an impression on the people around me, but the small daily things.
– I need to be more patient with the people around me.
– I need to spend more time asking God what He needs of me.
– Dolly Parton is my new Hero.
