I may be one of the weirdest people I know. I’m on vacation this week and the cabin we rented has this video game in it with all the old school games that I grew up on. One of the games I always loved but sucked at was centipede. Tonight I played it for hours until I got the top score. In fact, I got all the scores. The weird this is that there are life lessons to be learned from centipede. A few came to me as I played. Here goes.

1. Sometimes the “bad guys” are not really “after you”. They are just running their “pattern” they always run and you just happen to be the one in the way at the time.
2. You score enough points with people and you get extra chances when u mess up. Give and take.
3. You play much better when you can walk away every once in a while and rest your concentration.
4. And of course, practice makes perfect.
